Monday Night Sangha

Every Monday 7.00 - 9.00pm. For regulars.

New theme from 8th March: Transforming Self and World.

The path of meditation and Buddhism is about change: how we can change for the good, and how we can also change the world for the good. Practically, how do we do this, and how do we avoid the pitfalls? Come along and find out.

Sessions will run every week, but the main input will be fortnightly, with the following week recapping on the main teaching and giving more space for practice and exploration of that area.

5th April   How What We Do Creates Who We Become. (Maitrisiddhi)

12th April   ...theme continues (Jyotidana)
19th April   Responding Creatively to Suffering: Patience (Lesley D)
26th April   ...theme continues
3rd May   Energy in Pursuit of the Good (Parami)
and continuing every Monday into July.

The last 30 minutes is always meditation, with the option to leave at 8.30.

Please try to arrive ten minutes early and wait to be admitted.

Saturday Sangha Mornings

Monthly Saturdays.10.30am - 1.00pm. For regulars.

What did the Buddha say about...

10th April: ...illness, old age and death? This is a deeply challenging area. All of us will encounter mortality – both in our own deaths and in the deaths of others we love. Why does the Buddha suggest we come into relation with death as fact of life? What effects can this have? And how do we both love and let go?

15th May: ...where we look for what is trustworthy, what is reliable? What the Buddha said about ‘refuge’.

Please try to arrive ten minutes early and wait to be admitted.

Simply Being

Saturday 27th March. 10.30 - 12.30. For Regulars.

Led by Tejananda

At any moment we can recognise, directly and viscerally, that we are alive and awake. With a settled and embodied awareness, this may open into an intuitive glimpse of what we truly are, beyond concepts. This might be evoked as a spacious yet embodied presence, a timeless awareness-emptiness, or unconditional love, compassion and pure energy.

We’ll explore this by way of a somatic approach to just sitting meditation, together with experiential inquiries – discovering aliveness, sensitivity, simplicity and clarity in our immediate experience.

Please try to arrive ten minutes early and wait to be admitted.
