Info & FAQs

Do I need to book?

Usually not - unless the event asks you to book, it’s fine just to turn up.

What do events cost?

Events are run on a basis of generosity (dana).  You don't have to pay to come along. We suggest a donation of £5-10, but if that's not possible for you, come anyhow!  The volunteers that run our activities give their time, energy and knowledge freely so that as many people as possible can benefit.

Where are events held?

In-person events are held at the Quaker Meeting House, Maes Maelor, Penparcau, Aberystwyth SY23 1SZ.

In the autumn we may be resuming fortnightly online events on Monday evenings on Zoom.

I’m new to meditation and Buddhism – which events are suitable for me?

Any events marked ‘Open to All’.  Generally, we run classes for people newer to meditation and Buddhism starting January, Easter and September.  Please get in touch if you’d like to come along but can’t see any current events marked ‘Open’.

Get in touch if you'd like to have a chat.

Do I have to be a Buddhist to come along?

Absolutely not.  Meditation and other Buddhist tools can benefit anyone, whatever your perspective on life.  If an event is only suitable for those with experience of Buddhist practice, it will say so in the information for that event.

Who can come to events marked 'regulars'?

Everyone familiar with the two main Triratna meditation practices, the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana.  Just turn up!
