Breaking through into Buddhahood

A course on courage, obstacles and the Buddhist path

Monthly on Saturdays 19 Sept, 17 Oct and 21 Nov

10.30- 1pm : Open to all

2.15 - 5pm : Regulars

We live in an age of endless information, advice and self-improvement. Yet many of us still struggle to find meaning, direction and a way of living that makes sense.

The Buddha described his teaching as a path to freedom, open for anyone to follow.

But what is the Buddhist understanding of breakthrough?  When we find ourselves circling in familiar habits and unsure how to respond to the world—or even what a good life looks like—what then?  Sometimes a slow and gentle progression is not possible.  We may have to break, or even smash, through the obstacle standing in our way.   This is not about self-willed force, but an energy that comes from clarity and wisdom.

We'll also encounter Vajrapani, the Wielder of the Thunderbolt: a vivid symbol of that fearless clarity that breaks through confusion and points the way to Buddhahood.

Whether you're new to Buddhism or have been practising for years, you're warmly welcome.

Participants will receive a copy of Breaking Through into Buddhahood as part of the course.

Can’t make all the sessions?

Don’t worry, we’re expecting that. Just make as many as you can. You can always fill in the gaps from the coursebook.
